I’m debating whether or not to go to work today… on one hand I don’t feel like it. On the other hand, I don’t feel like it. On the third hand, my mother will kill me if I don’t go.
Waha now that I got paid and part of my credit card is paid off, I can finally go get a money order for that wallscroll I won a week ago, and go to the fabric store! š
Geez, the fabric store is becoming a dangerous place for me. I spend more money there than the anime store. I’m going to buy extra red vinyl when I get the stuff for my Misato costume, and store it away for a Vashette costume. Female Vashs are so fun! And I wanna do a Trigun Max version.
I dunno where I’d wear it, tho. Geez.
We were talking about going to Otakon next year. But after all the horror stories I’ve heard about this year’s, I dunno… crazed baseball fans, creepy people, people who just wandered in off the street, overcrowding, chemical spills… and then there’s the whole thing with the con being at a convention center… and the two hotels that connected to it were booked by feb 2001. most people had to stay several blocks away and walk there. Ugh!
Unless things change I don’t think we’ll be going. We want to find SOME other east coast summer con to go to. Maybe Project Akon in Dallas, or Anime Mid Atlantic in Richmond VA…
And on the creepy note, I’m seriously reconsidering wearing my Jupiter costume to a con. I was planning wearing for a while at MTAC, and then for a day at Mid South Con in March. But I dunno now. I mean, I got enough of weird comments and stuff when I wore it on Halloween …
